Jameson takes its triple-distilled Irish whiskey, leans heavily on rich single pot still spirit, and finishes it in barrels charred a second time to wake the wood back up. The result is a noticeably deeper, rounder Jameson that rewards anyone who has worked through the standard green bottle and wants more weight in the glass.
Expect butterscotch, toasted oak and a little baking spice up front, then a long finish of fudge and dried fruit. Sip it neat to hear what the extra char is doing, or build a very good Old Fashioned. A strong pick for the whiskey drinker who wants complexity without going peaty.
