Product Description
This one began as a favour between neighbours. Jameson lent empty whiskey barrels to a craft brewery, got them back smelling of hops, and refilled them with Irish whiskey to see what would happen. The Caskmates IPA Edition is the answer: familiar triple-distilled Jameson finished in casks that previously held India pale ale, and it tastes unmistakably of that detour.
Citrus peel and floral hop notes sit on top of the usual vanilla and orchard fruit, with a dry, faintly bitter finish that reads more like a good beer than a whiskey. Try it neat alongside an IPA, or in a highball with soda and grapefruit. A conversation piece that happens to drink very well.
