The blend leans on rich single pot still whiskey and small-batch grain whiskey, then spends its final stretch in bourbon barrels charred a second time before filling. Fudge, butterscotch and charred oak lead, with nutty spice and a soft sweetness that hangs around. At its best neat or with a single cube, though in cocktails it gives a Whiskey Sour genuine backbone. A sensible upgrade for anyone ready to spend a little more.
