Product Description
Eighteen years is a long commitment for a blended Irish whiskey, and very few houses attempt it. Jameson's oldest core expression takes its constituent whiskeys through nearly two decades in oak before they are married together, and the extra time changes the register entirely: the familiar smooth Irish character is still there, but slower, drier and considerably more complex. This is the top of the standing range, not a flavored detour.
Toffee, dried fruit, hazelnut and a wisp of wood smoke sit over the house's signature soft cereal sweetness, closing long and gently spiced. Drink it neat in a tulip glass with a few drops of water and no ice. A milestone bottle for someone who has been loyal to the green label for years.
