Product Description
Kilmarnock grocer John Walker started blending whisky to give his customers something consistent, and Red Label is the descendant of that idea. It draws on malt and grain whiskies from across Scotland to produce a bold, uncomplicated blend that is more interesting than its price suggests and more useful than a shelf full of single malts.
The palate is peppery and forward, with orchard fruit, cereal sweetness and a light smoky edge that lingers just long enough. It is happiest in a Highball, poured long over ice with soda water and a twist, though a splash of ginger ale is the Chicago move. The working bottle of blended Scotch.
