Product Description
The estate in Alexander Valley was founded on an unfashionable idea: that California Cabernet should be built for the dinner table in the Bordeaux manner rather than for maximum ripeness and power. Half a century on, that conviction has aged extremely well, and Jordan remains one of the most consistently graceful Cabernets in Sonoma County.
Cassis, black cherry and a savoury note of cedar and tobacco leaf, with tannins that are firm but polished and an acidity that keeps everything upright. Decant it for an hour, then serve with lamb, rib roast, duck, or a well-aged cheese. It drinks beautifully now and will reward a few years in a cool closet.
