Product Description
Jordan has made only two wines since the mid-1970s, and that narrow focus is precisely why both are so good. The Chardonnay comes from the cool, fog-influenced Russian River Valley and is deliberately made in a restrained, food-first style, with far less oak and butter than California Chardonnay is usually accused of. It is an elegant wine rather than a showy one.
Lemon curd, white peach and green apple over a fine chalky minerality, with just enough creaminess to give it weight and a long, taut finish. Serve it cool rather than frigid, in a decent glass, with sole, scallops, crab, or roast chicken with lemon. A grown-up white for a proper dinner.
