Product Description
Hearth is the cold-weather Cabernet in the Josh Cellars range, made for the months when dinner comes out of an oven rather than off a grill. It is a step up in concentration from the standard bottling, with more evident oak and a deliberately warming profile. The name is marketing, but the wine does earn it.
Darker and denser than you might expect: black plum, cassis, baking spice, a thread of smoke and cocoa stretched across a long finish. The tannins are firm but polished. Set it beside braised short ribs, a roast, mushroom risotto or a slab of aged gouda and let the evening take its time.
