Product Description
A red blend gives its maker room to fix what a single varietal cannot, and Josh Cellars spends that room on one thing: drinkability. California grapes, moderate oak, generous fruit, no sharp corners anywhere. The winery has built an enormous following on that philosophy, and this bottling is its plainest expression.
The glass delivers dark berry and black cherry with a vanilla-and-mocha finish, medium in weight and soft throughout. Pour it for a mixed group and nobody objects. It handles barbecue, baked pasta, sliders and a cheese plate equally well, and needs neither decanting nor ceremony to show what it has.
