Product Description
Zinfandel has been growing in California for more than a century and a half, long enough to count as the state's own grape, and Josh Cellars gives it a straightforward modern reading. Ripe, jammy and a touch spicy, this is Zin in its friendliest form rather than the high-octane style some producers chase.
Blackberry jam, raspberry and black pepper over a warm, mildly sweet finish, with soft tannins and a full feel. It is the obvious call for barbecue - ribs, pulled pork, anything with a sticky glaze - and it stands up to burgers and sharp cheddar just as easily. Serve it a few degrees below room temperature.
