Product Description
Nigori is sake that skips the fine filtration, leaving rice sediment suspended in the bottle and an ivory cloudiness in the glass. Joto works with small Japanese breweries and selected this one for texture - softer and rounder than clear sake, and reliably good at converting people who thought sake was not for them.
Turn the bottle gently before opening to redistribute the sediment, then serve it cold. Expect creamy notes of steamed rice, melon and coconut, a touch of sweetness and a clean close. Excellent with spicy food, fried chicken, dumplings and rich ramen, and it pours beautifully over ice on a hot day.
