Product Description
A Pinot Noir from a producer called Juggernaut sounds like a contradiction, and the wine leans happily into it. Instead of chasing delicacy, this California Pinot goes for depth: darker fruit, more extraction and more barrel presence than the grape usually receives. Call it Pinot for people who otherwise drink Cabernet.
Black cherry, raspberry and pomegranate over cola spice, vanilla and a wisp of smoke, with silky tannins and a finish longer than the pale color suggests. Serve it lightly chilled. Duck, pork loin, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto and hard cheeses all work, and so does a burger.
