Product Description
Grillo was planted across western Sicily to make Marsala, and for most of the twentieth century that was the only job it had. A newer generation of producers discovered it makes an excellent dry white on its own - aromatic, saline, and built for the island's heat. Bottles like this are still priced as though nobody has noticed.
Expect lemon, yellow melon and almond over a dry, mineral finish with a hint of sea salt, medium in body with steady acidity. Serve it cold. A natural with grilled sardines, swordfish, pasta dressed in olive oil and lemon, fried vegetables, or salty cheese and olives before dinner.
