Kendall-Jackson's rose is built the way the good ones are - picked early for acidity, pressed gently for color, finished without the sugar that undermines so much of the category. Cool coastal California fruit does the rest of the work.
Wild strawberry, white peach and pink grapefruit over a crisp mineral finish, light in body and genuinely refreshing. Serve it thoroughly chilled, and in a white wine glass rather than a flute. It handles grilled fish, shrimp, chicken salad, prosciutto, soft cheeses and spiced dishes, and it is excellent with nothing at all.
