Product Description
Takumi is the Japanese word for a master artisan, and Kentucky Owl chose it deliberately for this limited release. The brand made its name blending small batches of well-aged Kentucky whiskey, and this edition is an exercise in that discipline: a straight bourbon assembled for balance rather than brute force, then bottled at a hundred proof.
The nose offers dark cherry, honey and toasted oak. On the palate, caramel, orchard fruit, cinnamon and a touch of leather build slowly into a long dry finish with far more restraint than the proof suggests. Drink it neat in a tulip glass, add a few drops of water if you like, and give it room.
