Product Description
Mexican wine surprises people, and L.A. Cetto is usually the bottle doing the surprising. The family has been growing grapes in Baja California since 1928, in a dry, breezy valley not unlike parts of the Mediterranean, and this Cabernet is their most widely traveled wine.
It pours dark and drinks warm and generous, with blackberry, black olive, dried herb and a dusty tannin that suits food off a fire. Serve at cool room temperature with carne asada, mole, ribs or aged cheese. A genuinely interesting red at a fair price, and a conversation starter for anyone who assumes Mexico only makes spirits.
