Product Description
La Giuva works a small estate in the hills east of Verona, farming the indigenous grapes that built the reputation of the Valpolicella zone. Rientro is the more approachable side of that portfolio, made for drinking rather than cellaring, and it carries the estate's fingerprints without the price of its flagship bottles.
Sour cherry and dried herb lead, with a savory almond-skin bitterness on the finish that is very much the Veneto signature. Medium-bodied, dry, lifted by good acidity. Serve at cool room temperature with risotto, roast pork, polenta and mushrooms, or a pizza that deserves better than what usually goes with it.
