Product Description
Southern France produces a great deal of ordinary red wine and a small amount of very good inexpensive red wine. La Vieille Ferme belongs firmly to the second group, made by a family with far grander addresses in its portfolio. The magnum is the format for parties, long dinners, and anyone who has done this before.
Grenache-led and medium-bodied, it offers raspberry, black cherry, dried herb and a peppery finish, with tannins soft enough to pour immediately. Serve at cool room temperature, or slightly chilled in warm weather. It goes with everything from roast chicken to sausages to pizza without ever getting in the way.
