Cabernet Franc is the parent grape most drinkers skip past on the way to its more famous offspring, and it deserves better than that. LangeTwins grows it in Lodi and bottles it on its own rather than burying it in a blend, which gives you a chance to taste what the variety actually does.
The profile is distinctive: red plum and raspberry lifted by green peppercorn and a herbal edge, with moderate tannin and real freshness. Serve slightly cool. Excellent with lamb, roast pork, grilled vegetables, or anything involving herbs, and it makes a good argument for buying outside your usual grape.
