Product Description
Fume Blanc is Sauvignon Blanc that has spent time in oak, a name Robert Mondavi coined in the 1960s and California has used ever since. LangeTwins makes a Lodi version that keeps the grape's citrus bite while adding a little breadth, which is the whole point of the style.
Grapefruit and lemon lead, softened by a subtle vanilla and toasted note, with a dry, textured finish. Serve chilled but not icy, so the oak has somewhere to go. Very good with crab cakes, grilled fish, chicken with herbs, or a creamy pasta that would overwhelm a leaner white.
