Product Description
Cachaca is Brazil's national spirit, distilled from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses, and Leblon is the bottle that taught a great many Americans the difference. Made in Minas Gerais and rested briefly in French oak, it loses the raw grassiness without losing its character. If you make caipirinhas at home, this is the workhorse worth keeping stocked.
Clean and faintly vegetal on the nose, with banana, cane sugar and a peppery snap through the finish. Muddle it with lime and sugar over crushed ice and you are done. It also swaps neatly into a daiquiri or a mule when you want something brighter than white rum.
