Product Description
Andy Erickson built his reputation on some of Napa's most sought-after Cabernet, and Leviathan is the project where he works without appellation boundaries, sourcing across California and blending for flavor rather than pedigree. The 2019 is the whole point of that exercise: a serious, dark-fruited red for a fraction of what his name commands elsewhere.
Blackberry and cassis over espresso, cocoa and cedar, with plush tannins and a finish that reads dense rather than sweet. Decant it for an hour. Steak, lamb chops, short ribs and aged cheddar are the obvious company. Drinking well now, with room still to develop.
