Extra Añejo is the top rung of the tequila ladder, a designation held back for spirits that spend at least three years in oak before bottling. Leyenda de Mexico works in that slow register, releasing agave spirit left alone long enough to trade brightness for depth. For whiskey drinkers curious about aged agave, this is familiar ground with an unfamiliar accent.
Barrel time pushes caramel, toasted oak and vanilla forward, with cooked agave, dried fruit and a touch of baking spice underneath and a long, warm finish. Pour it neat in a copita, or over one large cube. No mixers required, and none recommended.
