Product Description
Nine years is a long time to leave tequila in a barrel. Most Extra Añejo stops at three, the category minimum, and the additional six here carry the spirit somewhere closer to aged rum or Cognac than to anything you would pour into a margarita. It is priced as a special-occasion bottle and it drinks like one.
Deep amber in the glass, with butterscotch, cinnamon, dried apricot and sweet oak layered over a faint memory of roasted agave. Silky, nearly syrupy, with a very long finish. Neat, in a stemmed glass, with nothing else competing for attention.
