Product Description
Lignum is Latin for wood, which tells you where the emphasis falls: a red blend given real barrel time before release, now with several additional years in bottle behind it. The 2018 has reached the comfortable middle of its life, where the oak has folded into the fruit and the wine asks nothing of you except a glass.
Dark plum and black cherry over vanilla, sweet spice and a faint tobacco note, with tannins gone soft and a dry, lingering finish. Decant if it is convenient. Roast lamb, braised beef, mushroom dishes and aged hard cheeses all sit well beside it.
