Product Description
Carneros sits at the cool southern end of Napa and Sonoma, where fog off San Pablo Bay slows ripening and hands Chardonnay the acidity that warmer sites simply cannot manage. Lloyd Cellars works with that advantage rather than against it, producing a white with tension as well as richness. A small-production bottle that drinks well above its billing.
Meyer lemon, white peach and green apple over restrained oak spice and a saline, mineral finish that runs long. Serve it cool rather than cold, in a wide glass. Excellent with oysters, halibut, crab, roast chicken or risotto.
