Time is the whole argument for an anejo. Mexican law requires at least a year in oak, and that year does work you cannot rush — softening the agave, drawing in color, adding weight. Lunazul is built from 100 percent blue agave grown in Jalisco, and its anejo arrives well below where the aged-tequila category usually starts.
The result is warm and rounded: cooked agave and vanilla first, then caramel, dried orange peel and a little oak spice across a long, gentle finish. Drink it neat from a copita, or over one large cube. Right for anyone who wants a sipping tequila without the sipping-tequila invoice.
