Product Description
Illinois autumn in a bottle, more or less. Lynfred has been making fruit wines in Roselle since the late 1970s, and the spiced apple is the one that appears when the leaves do — baked apple and warm spice rather than anything resembling a dry white.
Cooked apple, cinnamon, brown sugar and a hint of clove, sweet and soft-edged with a gentle finish. Very good warmed in a saucepan with a cinnamon stick and a strip of orange peel, and entirely pleasant chilled. Pour it alongside apple pie, sharp cheddar, or a bowl of caramel corn.
