Ripe strawberry, straight down the middle. Lynfred, in Roselle, Illinois, has built a following on fruit wines that taste like the fruit on the label, and the strawberry is the most immediately recognizable of the set — no guessing required, no acquired taste involved.
Sweet and juicy with fresh strawberry across the palate, light in body, low in tannin, clean at the finish. Drink it cold, in a small glass or over ice. Excellent with shortcake or chocolate-dipped fruit, and it makes a very good spritzer with soda water and a squeeze of lime.
