Product Description
The MacMurray name comes from the Sonoma ranch that actor Fred MacMurray bought in the 1940s and farmed for decades before it became a vineyard property. This bottling looks further south, drawing its Pinot Noir from California's Central Coast, where coastal fog and long, even growing seasons suit the grape unusually well.
Soft and easygoing rather than austere: red cherry, raspberry, a little baking spice and vanilla from oak, silky tannins and a smooth close. Serve it slightly cool, around 60 F. It handles salmon, roast chicken, mushroom pasta and charcuterie, and it is forgiving enough to open without a plan.
