Sangria is a sweet, fruit-steeped style with Spanish roots, and Madria is one of the versions that turned it into an American staple. The appeal has never been complicated: no recipe, no fruit prep, nothing to do but get it cold and find a pitcher.
Bright orange and lemon citrus over gentle red berry, sweet and very low in tannin. Best poured over plenty of ice with fresh fruit dropped in, or cut with soda water when the afternoon runs long.
