Product Description
Coconut rum barely existed as a category before Malibu arrived in the early 1980s and created the market almost single-handedly. Every flavored extension since, this strawberry version included, rests on that original insight. The base remains Caribbean rum blended with coconut liqueur; the strawberry simply gives it a fruit-forward direction and a rosier glass.
The taste is unapologetically sweet: ripe strawberry, vanilla and a long creamy coconut finish with very little heat. Serve it cold, over a tall glass of ice, lengthened with lemonade or pineapple. It is also the easiest route to a decent frozen daiquiri at home.
