Product Description
Mark West made California Pinot Noir approachable long before the category got crowded. The formula has not changed much: fruit sourced across the state, gentle handling, a touch of oak, and a price that leaves room to open a second bottle. It is a dependable house Pinot, silky and unchallenging in the best sense, and hard to argue with on a weeknight.
The glass gives cherry, red plum and a little strawberry, with soft vanilla and baking spice sitting behind the fruit. Tannins are light and the finish is clean. Serve it lightly chilled with roast chicken, salmon, mushroom risotto or a charcuterie board.
