Product Description
Not every celebration needs Champagne, and this is the bottle that proves it. Marqués de Cáceres is better known for Rioja reds, but the house applies the same restraint to its sparkling wine: dry, clean and built around fruit rather than sugar. It is priced to open on a Thursday, which is largely the point.
The bubbles are fine and persistent, carrying green apple, white pear and a faint note of toasted bread. Brut means genuinely dry, so it works before dinner as easily as it does with fried food, oysters or salted almonds. Serve it properly cold.
