Product Description
Marqués de Cáceres changed how Rioja tasted. Founded in the early 1970s, the house brought French winemaking thinking to a region that had grown comfortable, favoring fresher fruit and cleaner oak over long oxidative aging. Half a century later the red remains one of the most widely poured Spanish wines in the world, and it still delivers more than the price suggests.
Tempranillo leads, giving red cherry and plum with a dusting of vanilla and dried herb from time in barrel. The tannins are polished and the acidity keeps everything upright, which makes it genuinely useful at the table.
