Product Description
Albariño found its modern voice in Rías Baixas, the green, Atlantic-facing corner of northwest Spain, and Martín Códax has been one of its most consistent ambassadors since the winery was founded there in 1986. Grown on granite soils a short drive from the ocean, this is a white wine with salinity built in rather than added by trickery.
Peach, green apple and white flowers give way to a saline, citrus-driven finish with real cut. It is made for shellfish, and it earns that reputation with clams, oysters, grilled octopus or a simple plate of shrimp. Serve it cold and pour generously.
