Product Description
Mas de Can Blau is the upper tier bottling from a Catalan project built around the Carignan and Grenache vines planted on the steep, stony slopes of southern Catalonia. The 2015 vintage has had a decade to settle, which is precisely what these dense, structured wines need. Bottles like this are why Spain remains the best-kept secret in serious red wine.
Deep and concentrated, with black cherry, licorice, dried herbs and a graphite streak running underneath. The tannins have softened with age but still give the wine shape. Decant it for an hour, serve at cool room temperature, and pour it with grilled meat, aged Manchego or a slow-cooked stew.
