Product Description
Napa Valley Cabernet at a sensible price is a narrow category, and small producers like Meadowcroft are where it usually lives. The winery works on a scale that allows attention to individual lots, and the Cabernet reflects that: properly ripe Napa fruit, well-managed oak, and none of the inflated pricing that the appellation often carries.
Blackcurrant and dark cherry lead, layered with cedar, cocoa and a graphite edge, over tannins that are firm but polished. Decant it for half an hour and serve with ribeye, lamb chops, short ribs or aged cheddar. It also has the structure to sit in the rack for a few years.
