Product Description
This is Cabernet Sauvignon made in the modern California idiom: dark, generous and polished to a high shine. Meiomi came to the grape after establishing itself with Pinot Noir, and brought the same preference for plush texture over sharp edges. Anyone who finds classic Cabernet too austere will find this a considerably friendlier introduction.
Cassis, black plum and dark cherry lead, with mocha, vanilla and sweet oak spice filling in behind and tannins smoothed almost flat. Serve it slightly below room temperature with steak, burgers, braised short ribs or a wedge of aged cheddar. It needs no decanting and drinks well the evening you open it.
