Mezzacorona is a grower cooperative in Trentino, the mountainous province at the top of Italy, and it has been making wine there since 1904. Hundreds of member families farm small parcels in the valley and the surrounding foothills, which is how the estate manages both consistency and unusually fair pricing across its range.
Alpine vineyards leave a clear signature on these wines: brisk acidity, moderate alcohol and clean, well-defined fruit rather than heavy extraction or overt oak. They are made for the dinner table, so serve chilled if white or rosé and slightly cool if red, and pour them alongside food rather than on their own.
