Product Description
Morgon is one of the ten crus of Beaujolais, and Corcelette is one of its named vineyard sites, where granite and pink sandstone soils give Gamay more structure and grip than the region usually gets credit for. Cru Beaujolais at this level is still among the best value in French red wine.
Bright and mineral, with crunchy raspberry and dark cherry over a savoury earthiness, and fine tannins that firm up with a little air in the glass. Serve it cool rather than at room temperature, with roast chicken, charcuterie, lentils or a very good burger. For Burgundy drinkers looking sideways.
