Product Description
Soju from Andong carries a long and specific reputation in Korea, where the city has been tied to traditional grain distilling for centuries. This is soju in the older register rather than the mass market one: made to be tasted rather than shot, and given a certain amount of respect at the table. A genuine piece of drinking culture in a modest bottle.
Clean and lightly sweet, with a soft grain character, a faint floral note and a warming finish. Serve it chilled in small cups, poured for others before yourself as custom dictates. Excellent with Korean barbecue, savory jeon, spicy stews and salted seafood.
