Product Description
Newton made its reputation in the hills above Napa Valley with wines that skip the usual cosmetics. The Unfiltered Chardonnay is the clearest expression of that idea: barrel fermented, aged on its lees in French oak and bottled without filtration, which leaves the texture fuller and the flavors more layered than most California Chardonnay at any price.
Expect white peach, Meyer lemon and toasted hazelnut over a creamy mid-palate, with a savory lift on a long finish. Give it fifteen minutes out of the fridge rather than serving it ice cold, and pair it with roast chicken, lobster, or a risotto with autumn squash. A wine for a proper dinner.
