Product Description
Named for Uriel Nielson, who planted one of Santa Barbara County's first commercial vineyards in the 1960s, this Chardonnay comes from a stretch of California where cool Pacific air lengthens the growing season and keeps acidity intact. The result is a coastal style with real freshness, priced well below the Santa Barbara Chardonnays that get written about.
Look for lemon curd, yellow apple and a little toasted almond, with a bright line of acidity holding the middle together and a clean, faintly creamy finish. Serve it chilled but not frigid, alongside grilled fish, roast chicken, crab cakes, or a simple pasta with butter and herbs. An excellent midweek white.
