Product Description
Toro sits on the high, dry plains of Castilla y Leon, where old Tinta de Toro vines dig deep for water and produce fruit of remarkable concentration. Numanthia has been the appellation's flagship since the late 1990s, and this is the wine that made the region's case to the wider world. Serious Spanish red that still undercuts its Rioja equivalents.
Dense and dark, with black cherry, cassis, licorice and cedar over firm but polished tannins, finishing long and savory. Decant it for an hour and serve it in big glasses with lamb, grilled beef, aged Manchego, or anything cooked over coals. It will also keep developing for years in a cool cellar.
