Product Description
Named for Thomas Parr, the Shropshire man reputed to have lived to 152, Old Parr has been blended since 1871 and became one of the great export Scotches, hugely popular across Latin America and Japan long before single malts took over the conversation. The crackle-glazed bottle is as recognizable as the whisky inside it.
Soft and rounded rather than assertive: honey, dried apricot, malted barley and a whisper of smoke, with a gentle, medium-length finish. Drink it neat, over a large cube, or in a highball with soda and a twist of lemon, which is how a great deal of it is enjoyed. Very easy company.
