Product Description
Olde English 800 has been a fixture of the American malt liquor shelf since the 1960s, and the 24-ounce can is its natural format. Malt liquor is brewed with more adjunct sugar than a standard lager, which pushes the strength up and the price down. This one does that job with fewer rough edges than most of its category.
The pour is bright gold with a sweet grain nose, a full and slightly syrupy body, and a warm finish. Serve it thoroughly chilled straight from the can. It suits grilled and heavily seasoned food, and given the strength it is best taken slowly.
