Product Description
Papillon is Orin Swift's take on a Bordeaux blend, built from the classic Napa varieties and named for the butterfly. It is the winery's most structured wine and the one that most rewards patience, made in a house style that has never been shy about ripeness or about oak.
The 2019 shows blackcurrant, black cherry and violet over graphite, dark chocolate and toasted spice, with dense but polished tannins and a finish that runs long. Decant it for at least an hour, then serve it with dry-aged beef, venison, or a hard cheese and nothing else.
