Product Description
Single grain Scotch is the quiet corner of the category, and twenty-five years of it represents patience almost nobody commits to at this price. Muckety Muck is Orphan Barrel pointing its archaeologist instincts at Scotland, locating a quarter-century-old parcel of grain whisky, bottling it once and letting it go.
Time does remarkable things to grain whisky. Expect coconut, ripe tropical fruit, creme brulee and honeycomb, with soft oak spice and none of the woody dryness a bourbon of that age would carry. The texture is silky and the finish long. Drink it neat at room temperature in a glass that concentrates the aroma.
