Product Description
Family reserve bottlings exist because someone held back the lots worth waiting on. This Malbec is made in that spirit, given more time in oak than the everyday cuvee and released with a little more weight and polish to show for it. A step up without a step change in price, which is the most useful place a red wine can occupy.
Dark plum and blackberry lead, with cocoa, sweet baking spice and a tannic frame firm enough to keep the fruit in line. Open it an hour ahead and pour it with grilled steak, short ribs or anything that came off a charcoal fire. Good company for a table of six on a cold night.
